If you pit two competent players against one another with each trooper type the rocket droid will win in MOST battle scenarios presented in capital supremacy. Thats not even including the ship phase where its literally just tight spaces. The jet trooper’s range advantage doesn’t have much weight when you’re playing mostly capital supremacy since maps like Kashyyyk and Kamino are already close quarters with kashyyyk having more shrubbery and obstacles. Also do you know how many times i get killed by a rocket droid because their blasters do so much damage and you can’t aim for the head to do extra headshot damage? It takes 3 hits with a vanguard to take these fuckers down compared to 1 or 2 against the jet trooper. The fact that you can’t headshot them with the amount if damage they can do puts them at a bigger disadvantage than the jet trooper. No the rocket droid’s hitbox isnt noticeably bigger than the jet trooper to make that big if a difference. r/StarWarsBattlefront subreddit statistics!
